Graphical User Interface for
a mobile Ticket Machine
This extensive project required all steps of the user- centered design process. I devoloped the information architecture of the ticket purchasing process, the graphical user interface and did several user tests. The design is clear, simple and remarkable easy to use. The layouts are implemented in the ticket machines since summer 2011 and can be viewed in trams and buses in Potsdam.

Graphical User Interface of an E-Mail Software
In this class »GUI Design - less features, better software« the challenge was to design a detailed graphical user interface for Mac software. I designed a simple mail client with basic features. The idea was to deal with the Human Interface Guidelines for Mac and to use the common GUI patterns and to make this app consistent and user-friendly.

Data Visualization
»Splendor« is tool to draw beautiful visualization of gps tagged images and its relation to sights of any city in the world. By matching the titles of pictures (taken from Panoramio) with die actual name of the sight, an amazing and unique image of city will be created.

»Sight Explorer« App for Multitouch
SightExplorer is an application for tourists of Potsdam which supports to explore and plan a city tour. After defining POIs and paths you are able to see gps-located pictures (from Panoramio) of sights you might encounter. By pinching you explore more content and create an individual time-based distorted map. My focus has been toughts about the interaction and gestures plus the visual language of this application.

Wireframes and Best Practice Research for ZDF Mediathek
The focus was the usability evaluation and con- ceptual redesign of the ZDF Mediathek. My team and I also did some best practice research of inter- action with video content. Several ideas were up- dated in the latest version of the ZDF Mediathek 2.0.

Graphical Design Pattern Library
In this project I dealt with graphical and interaction design patterns for user interfaces. I supported building up a Pattern Library to collect and categorize UI Patterns for different requirements of an interface. My job was to realize the design with CSS and to create and integrate several patterns examples into the webportal.

Redesign WiFi Hotspot Access
My job was to simplify the Wifi HotSpot access for clients. By doing some usability reviews and conceptual thinking with the focus on Logging in and paying process, I created wireframes and a clickable Prototyp with HTML, CSS and basics of Java Script. Finally the results were the base for a comprehensive user test.

Clickable Prototype of WiFi Installation Guide
The main task was the reworking of the WiFi Installation Guiding Tour part. I redesigned the information architecture to increase a far better understanding and usability. Finally I created a
HTML prototype to demonstrate the new walkthough. Used Tools have been MS Visio and Dreamweaver.

Evaluation of an Augmented Reality Application
I supported Mario Kluge from the Geo Information Research Group Potsdam, to evaluate an augmented reality app with a mobile eyetracking system. The main goal was to get information about how often a proband glanced to his mobile device and his real surroundings. Furthermore the technical reliability
of this tracker was an issue.

Head Mounted Eye Tracking on Multitouch Surface
In this work, a Fellow student and I did exciting research in the evaluation possibily of a large interactive surface with an eye tracking system. Firstly we did some user tests to evaluate interaction experience with a feducial input device, secondly the facility of eye tracking in this relation itself was checked.

Usability Test of a Webportal
The webportal MACE, which provides architectual contents, was tested by 10 probands to evaluate the new innovated search & browse possibilities. Me and one Fellow student prepared the test design and made the usertesting with classical interviewing and eye tracking. Finally we summarized the analysis.
